The topic of congestion and its impacts on sustainability is one that, when debated, produces a wide variety of conflicting opinions. These conflicting opinions arise from the fact that the impacts of congestion and the solutions to the problem are often different when approached from environmental, economic or social perspectives. During this panel discussion, representatives from across Canada will attempt to answer the question: "Is congestion good or bad for sustainability?".

La congestion des routes et ses incidences sur la durabilité sont source de diverses opinions conflictuelles lors des débats sur le sujet. Ces opinions conflictuelles découlent du fait que les incidences de la congestion des routes et les solutions que l’on propose d’apporter pour régler le problème sont souvent divergentes des points de vue environnemental, économique ou social. Au cours de cette table ronde, des représentants de tout le Canada s’efforceront de répondre à la question suivante : « La congestion des routes a‑t‑elle un effet positif ou négatif sur la durabilité ? ».
